Cognitive Code 2025
Evolution: changing technology, changing minds
Held on 23 October 2025 at Ložionica in Belgrade, Cognitive Code 2025 marked a turning point in the conference’s history. After a decade as the TX Conference, an internal TX Group event, it returned with a new name, a broader purpose and, for the first time, an audience from beyond the company.
The theme was Evolution. Not only the evolution of technology, but the way people, organisations and ideas change alongside it. As AI becomes part of how we work, learn and make decisions, the conference asked what is happening to human behavior, consciousness, creativity and our understanding of progress.
Across seven sessions, engineers met neuroscientists, psychologists, researchers and creative thinkers. Pascal Kaufmann opened a conversation about intelligence and the arrival of cyborgs, while Greg Gage explored consciousness as the brain’s original cognitive code. Dr Nikolaos Dimitriadis examined neuroplasticity and our capacity for change, and Dr Jelena Pavlović demonstrated how shifts in meaning can reshape human–AI collaboration.
The programme also brought those questions into everyday life. Dobrinka Vićentijević challenged assumptions about how people behave across physical and digital shopping environments. Hal Taylor traced the development of information technology from papyrus scrolls to infinite feeds, asking whether our cognitive wiring has kept pace with the systems we have created.
Milan Janić and Marie-Alice Boyé closed the circle by looking ahead. Through foresight and design fiction, they explored how weak signals can help us imagine possible futures before they become obvious trends.
Cognitive Code 2025 was designed to do more than transfer knowledge from a stage. Interactive demonstrations, experiments and conversations invited the audience to test ideas, question familiar assumptions and take an active role in the programme.
The first external edition established what Cognitive Code would become: not simply a conference about the latest technology, but a place to examine how technology changes us and how we want to change with it.
